Internet of Things Hong Kong Association, IOTHK (Association), ushered in its eighth year. Although we have faced the severe COVID-19 epidemic in the past few years, the work of our Association has not stopped. Under the leadership of Chairman Wilson Chong, the Directors and Committee are still working together to promote various work of our Association, including Tech Forums, Smart Cities, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and other related technologies promotion activities. On behalf of the Association, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all members. It is your active participation and strong support that have created the recognition and achievements of our Association today. In the context of the era of "Internet of Everything", we are joining hands to enter a new era of "AI&Smart Cities". AI technology leads us to foresee the future and jointly open a new chapter of AI Smart Life.
Looking back on the past, the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has profoundly changed the footprint of Hong Kong's city. The vision of Smart City is gradually becoming a reality, with Smart Transportation, Smart Communities, Smart Finance, Smart Healthcare, Smart Government Services, Autonomous vehicles, humanoid robot etc... The reach of smart IoT technology extends to every corner of Hong Kong. We have witnessed the power of technology and the hope it brings.
Looking forward to the future, we are full of confidence. Hong Kong as an international financial city, an international innovation and technology center, Hong Kong is facing unprecedented development opportunities. Let us work together to promote the integration of the Internet of Things, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence and accelerate their practice and application in HK Smart Cities. We believe that through technological means, we can continue to improve the operational efficiency of enterprises, stimulate innovation capabilities, cultivate more local scientific and technological talents in Hong Kong, and accelerate the early realization of Hong Kong's Smart City goal.
Here, I would like to express my special thanks to the various technology departments of the Hong Kong government, especially the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, Government Digital Policy Office, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP), Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), Cyberport, ASTRI and other Government Tech Depts for their support and guidance. At the same time, I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the major Chambers of Commerce and Technology Associations in Hong Kong. It is your joint efforts that have created a good environment for technological innovation in Hong Kong.
Finally, the Hong Kong Internet of Things Association will continue to be driven by technology, make good use of the Internet of Things, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technology, strengthen industry cooperation, enhance innovation capabilities, assist in the construction of Smart Cities, Digital Transformation and upgrading of enterprises, and strive to help Hong Kong develop into an International Innovation and Technology Center, let us go hand in hand and use technology to create a bright future of smart life!
